Stephen Blair Joins Aeterna Group’s Leadership Team as the Chief Practice Officer and the Science and Technology Market Director
WASHINGTON, DC (October 19, 2026) – Aeterna Group is pleased to welcome Stephen Blair, PE, LEED AP, as the Chief Practice Officer and the Science and Technology Market Director.
Stephen, a graduate of Drexel University in Mechanical Engineering, brings more than three decades of experience leading the planning, design, and delivery of highly complex science, research, laboratory, and technology facilities. Most recently, he served as Principal and the Science and Technology Practice Leader for one of the industry’s premier science and technology practices. Stephen joins Aeterna Group at KGD Architecture’s DC office and will work alongside the KGD leadership team to strengthen and grow our practice in this region.
Throughout his career, Stephen has built a reputation for helping organizations create innovative, high-performance environments that accelerate scientific discovery and research excellence. His experience spans higher education, government, healthcare, life sciences, and corporate research sectors, and he is widely recognized for his expertise in laboratory planning, biomedical research facilities, advanced technology environments, and multidisciplinary project leadership.
As Chief Practice Officer and the Science and Technology Market Director, Stephen will coordinate market-sector leadership across Aeterna Group, align growth priorities, and ensure consistent execution across all markets. He will also lead the growth and strategic direction of our Science and Technology market sector while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and as an industry thought leader. Stephen will help identify and develop future practice leaders, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization.
